/ time plan"

I spent my childhood in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, my father's parents' home.
Since my grandfather Yasuo was a member of the sculpture section of the publicly recruited art group Sankeikai,
my father Tomohiro was an era novelist,
and my mother Mutsuko was a teacher of elementary school art and crafts,
I had many opportunities to visit museums from an early age,
which I found very interesting. I grew up in Toyogaoka,
Tama City, Tokyo from nursery school, elementary school to high school, and loved drawing.
During the spring, summer and winter holidays,
I drew works at my grandfather's atelier in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture.

When I was in the third year of junior high school,
I decided on my future course as art,
and from the first year of high school I attended Shinjuku Art Academy
and prepared for the entrance examination aiming for Tokyo University of the Arts.
After that, after working at Suido Bata Academy of Fine Arts,
I entered the Department of Japanese Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts,
Tokyo University of the Arts in 2000.
After going on to a doctoral course and getting a doctorate and working as an education
and research assistant, I have been participating in
Mr. Noriyasu Takada's support plan for Japanese painters since 2012.
In 2004, I donated his graduation work to the Suwashi Museum in Nagano Prefecture,
and in 2017 I held a solo exhibition "Tomomu Okubo Exhibition-Reflection Space-"
planned by the Suwashi Museum.

Currently, as a graduate of the Nihon Bijutsuin Foundation, I exhibit every year and receive awards,
and I hold public group exhibitions and solo exhibitions to continue my creative activities in Japanese painting.
In addition, I work in the art department of the Bunkyo University Faculty of Education School Education Course, and mainly teach students who aim to become elementary school drawing
and crafts teachers and middle and high school art teachers.
Participated in the "Saitama Biennale in Konosu"
held in Konosu City in 2019 as an art university in Saitama Prefecture.
Will continue in the future.
